Submission Rules and Policies
The following guidelines govern the submission of papers to be published as articles or commentaries. These do not apply to the routine submission of letters to the editors. If you have any questions about these instructions, please contact our editors.
1. Please submit MS Word documents with Arial, single-spaced, 10-font text.
2. For commentaries, please use in-text citations whenever possible. For articles, you may include a reference section at the end of your paper.
3. Format your references using a recognized system of documentation. Authors are responsible for ensuring the integrity of their work.
4. All submissions must be emailed to the editor. Please click here to open an email.
5. Please attach a current CV, resume, or statement of qualifications if one is available.
6. If you are a new contributor and are unable to include a statement of qualification, you will be contacted by Crime Lab Report to confirm your credentials and identity.
7. Crime Lab Report may choose to include your qualifications as an appendix to your publication.
8. If you are submitting commentary about a Crime Lab Report publication or analysis, please reference the item in your email.
